Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy, Kasargod is one of the largest Pharmacy College of the South Indian state of Kerala, built in 2006. This is a co-educational institute located in a 3.5 acre area and is committed to the field of pharmacy only. It was PCI approved and functions as an affiliated college, which offers both the B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy programmes. The institute currently has a faculty of 21 members that see to it that the institute offer a favorable environment for aspiring pharmacists. This commitment is reflected by the various programmes that the institute offers for its students; these are pharmaceutics options and pharmaceutical analysis. The institute has a variety of amenities that are fully equipped to improve the learning and teaching process among the students. The campus includes well-equipped laboratories which are very important to accommodate practical segments of Pharmaceutical sciences. A learning resource center is a valuable addition to the school library service since it motorizes educational and information facilities needed to support learners. For each and every student having such a necessity, the institute provide the hostel accommodations for both boys and girls. It also has a cafeteria, an auditorium for occasion and seminar, and a sports complex for balanced live. There are provision for medical center for health notice of students in the campus. Existing learning techniques are facilitated by the IT infrastructure of institute and a strong Training and Placement Cell helps students regarding their career. There are programmes available totally three at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Pharmacy, out of which all are full time. The institute’s principal course is the Bachelor of Pharmacy ( B.Pharma ) which is a four year undergraduate course with an authorized strength of 60 students. At the postgraduate level, the institute offers two specialised M.Pharma programmes: The M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics and the M.Pharma in Pharmaceutical Analysis are two two-year programmes. These programs are aimed at educating students about the necessary and sufficient details of the entities that belong to their specialty areas within the sphere of pharmacy.
