The College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, founded in 1955, is one of the first constituent colleges of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. Situated in Thrissur, Kerala, this institute has been one of the premier destinations for veterinary education and research since 1954. Endorsed by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research, the college provides 50 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in veterinary sciences and animal husbandry. The institution has 100 committed faculty members trained well to impart education to budding veterinarians and animal scientists. The college has many available amenities intended to facilitate the learning process of the learners enrolled at the institution. Depending on the specialised area of knowledge, at the very centre of such facilities is a library—a true repository of scientific information. With a rich stock of books, journals, research papers, and periodicals, it is a treasure trove for any learner and fulfils the academic requirements of the students, faculty, and other staff members of this institution. The institution also appreciates the need to adapt to technological changes that are currently increasing. Towards this end, it has provided for ICT hubs and livestock delivery systems complexes in various campuses so that the students have always access to developments afloat in the area. Concerning academic programmes, the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, has a wide existing course offering. Currently, the institution provides fifty courses or programmes in two levels of degrees in veterinary and animal sciences with different choices of specialities. The most renowned programme is the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry ( B.V.Sc. & A.H. ), which is the essence of veterinary education. Postgraduate courses offered at the college include many M.V.Sc. programmes in specific areas of interest, such as animal biotechnology , veterinary public health, animal reproduction, and clinical veterinary medicine , among others. These programmes are with an intention to be completed full time, each being taught for about two to four years given the course level. For the undergraduate B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, admissions are done based on the rules and regulations of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination of Kerala (CEE) and the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Such selection depends on the performance of the candidate in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET-UG), administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For its postgraduate course, the college takes into consideration the students’ performance in the All India Entrance Examination for Admission ( ICAR AIEEA ).     Really veterinary is one of the best course though public have different opinions.But those who knows what outside is they always tell veterinary is best than mbbs.For perceiving that our college is best for everyone irrespective of status,income,caste,Creed or religion.Everyone can achieve there goals if u have a determined mind.....for most of the students...veterinary profession is a dream....
