Nirmala college of Nursing, Calicut is one of the fledging Nursing college In Kerala state of India, which was established in the year 2003. Affiliated to the University of Calicut it is situated at Marikunnu, Calicut and accredited by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), which lays emphasis on quality educations. The college has large 4 acres area, 200 total number of students with an intake capacity and it has 14 efficient faculties. At this college, boys and girls both are welcome to attain their nursing dreams in a co-education institution called Nirmala College of Nursing. The college strives to deliver the best to its students through excellent learning resources in current technologies. The health campus is endowed with well-equipped laboratories such as the Pre-clinical laboratory, MCH laboratory, Community Health laboratory, Anatomy and Nutrition laboratories for purpose of improving the students’ skills in handling practicals and for reinforcing theoretical lessons. The library section was basically a library containing about 3000 books and 20 journals for the academic scholarship purposes. In as far as technology base learning is concerned the college offers IT learning resources that consist of eleven computers and an internet. Besides that students may also find the on-campus health centre, sports facilities and a large special auditorium for events and seminars useful. Hostel amenities: The university provides quality and cozy accommodation to students of both better half in male and female hostels. Nirmala College of Nursing currently offers one full-time course : these are the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) . This is a four-year program which has an approved intake of 50 students to enable the College to give each student personal attention. The course description of B.Sc Nursing is development to ensure that students acquire the necessary knowledge and viable skills in nursing practice. At the current time the college offers only this one degree program, however the focus is indicative of their dedication to providing the best nursing education.
