New B.Ed. College, Nellimoodu, is affiliated college situated at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and was established in 2005. This institution is NCTE approved institution that offers teacher education programmes for interested candidates. Situated on a compact 8.5-acre campus, the college offers two full-time courses: B.Ed. and M.Ed. New B.Ed. College has a total student intake of 112 and a faculty of 9 students thereby providing an intimate learning atmosphere. The reading room can accommodate up to 100 students, which makes it an appropriate research hub for the students to undertake their learning and research from. The college practical trainings include departmental-based laboratories for the various educational methodologies to be practiced. It also has an auditorium for functions, seminars, etc, with an active giving a tone to the educational facility. The learners make a great deal out of twenty first century Information Technology facilities which are central to today’s learning environments. It is a matter of student concern with different hostels for boys and girls for accommodation and the college also provide comfortable accommodation. For instance, a canteen with appropriate foods for staff and students feeds the learners while a health centre with an ant- one facilitates basic health care services for the learners. The institute provides two full-time programmes : a two-year Bachelors in Education (B. Ed.) and masters in Education (M. Ed.) programme.
