National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health is one of the corner stone institute specialised in Aquatic Animal Health science, located at Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin- Kerala. The M.Tech programme offered is a full time programme with a duration of two years currently having an approved intake of 6students thus enough focus and hand on training. The Ph.D. programmes are six years inclusive of comprehensive in-depth research based on current emerging areas in Aquatic Animal Health and Marine Biotechnology. These programmes are intended to develop postgraduate scholars and professionals in the specialty. Just as it has been stated, NCAAH has a set process of admission, and much emphasis is given to merit when it comes to admitting students who would wish to undertake the following courses particularly the M.Tech Marine Biotechnology. Criteria of selection for this course include the standardized percentage scores achieved in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Biotechnology, GAT-B exam held by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad, for the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
