The Bhai Gurdas Nursing College was started in the year 2003 in Patiala, Punjab, and is one of the premiere nursing colleges in the state. Thus, student enrolment is 313 and faculty is 17; the college has four full-time nursing courses at two degrees. It is a fact that this institute is focused on nursing education, and to support this, the institute offers Graduate Nursing, Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery , B.Sc in Nursing, and Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing across a number of specialisations or fields within the healthcare field. Bhai Gurdas Nursing College has many facilities that made learning improved and the growth of these students enhanced. There is a separate hostel facility available for boys and girls out-station students in order to help provide a comfortable living situation. An equipped library is one which provides many resources for academic purposes and, in this way, acts as a knowledge base. Additionally, the college also focuses on the aspects of health with particular reference to sporting activities the facilities of which have been provided. In regard with the contemporary requirements of educational process, the institute has provided a solid framework for IT equipment. Students can relax and also make new friendships with the help of on-campus cafeteria. For event and seminars the equipment include spacious hall, air conditioning, comfortable chairs and translators. Students to be nurses take advantages in availability of specific and unique laboratories such as Nursing Practice Lab, Community Practice Lab, Anatomy Lab, Nutrition Lab and Pre-Clinical Science Lab. A medical facility equipped with first aid station also meets health emergencies that may occur from time to time, a guest house and waiting area is also presence for accommodating the visiting faculty and students’ families.
