BCF College of Nursing, Kottayam was started in the year 2008 now it is a leading self financing nursing college in the province of kerela, India. situated at Chemmanakary, Akkarappadam, this affiliated college has received approval from the Indian Nursing Council (INC) hence adopting high standards in its operations. Situated over an area of 3.57 acres of land, the college ensures providing a good environment as a platform for effective learning and to polish the skills required in the foreign norm. At present, a total number of 194 student enrolments and a total number of 12 faculties, it has an accountable student teacher ratio which provides particular concern to the students. In addition to the educational facilities, BCF College of Nursing has many facilities that improve the learning and growth of student. A fully stocked library contains books totalling 3,011 textbooks, 22 journals national/international, newspapers, and magazines also to support the students extensively for their academic activities. The campus has well-equipped practical training laboratories commonly attributed to the nursing professional education. For the sake of female students; the college has provided a four-storied hall for women and a separate canteen within the college premises, though there are other hostels in the hospital premises. The college also has a first and second aid facility through a health centre which enhances students’ health status. BCF College of Nursing currently offers a single course: namely the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing). This is a full course programme that takes four years to complete and has been given an approved admission capacity of sixty students per year of study. The B.Sc Nursing course describes details of theoretical coverage and technical expertise required in the profession of nursing.
