Younus College of Polytechnic, Kollam, is a self-financing affiliated college with its campus in Thalachira, Kollam, and was started in the year 1991. This is an AICTE-recognised institution offering four diploma courses in engineering fields. The college aimed to offer quality technical education to engineering aspirants with 36 faculty members in its team. Younus College of Polytechnic has four full-time diploma courses offered, and they are all basically in the engineering discipline. It is a programme crafted to equip students with knowledge, which will allow them to find solutions in their preferred area of specialisation. The total intake capacity at the college level is 240, and per course intake in each course is set at 60. The courses are Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering , Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering , and Computer Engineering.
