Visveswarapura Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, or VIPS was set up in the year 1980 and is a centre for providing pharmaceutical education in Bangalore City of Karnataka State. This is a co-educational college affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences providing specialisation in the field of pharmacy. The course of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) has 4 years with an intake capacity of 100 students, and the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) is of two-year duration, with an intake capacity of 60 students. These programmes are intended to give broad education and training in pharmaceutical sciences. The total enrolled students in both programmes is 160 making a total enrolment of 394 in the institute.
