Vikas Teacher’s Training College Sikar is affiliated college which was established in 2015 at Sikar Rajasthan. This is a coeducational teachers' training institute offering teacher education courses, and which is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education/NCTE. Located at the Pura Ki Dhani, Jaipur Bikaner Road, the college provides two integrated programmes with having total enrolment of 268 students. It has a total of 32 faculty members,, and the student-to-teacher ratio is still reasonable. Being a young institution, Vikas Teacher’s Training College aims at producing effective pre-service teachers equipped with efficient knowledge through an effective curriculum and physical facilities. Vikas Teacher’s Training College has several facilities in place aimed at improving the students’ facility of learning facilities. There are computer and typing labs, a photocopier section, a laminating facility, a chronic section, and above all, a vast reading room cum book section that contains more than 25000 books on different subjects concerning education and teaching. The library also uses daily, weekly and monthly papers for students with up-to-date information and research papers. Librarians strongly recommend having a special reading area because it will create a comfortable and quiet atmosphere for reading. The college is affiliated with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University (PDUSU), Sikar, and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has available subject laboratories which enable the students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practical sessions. In accordance with the contemporary trends in education, Vikas Teacher’s Training College has adopted good Information Technology systems. As part of the school’s aims and objectives of nurturing a holistic student, the institution offers sporting activities, ga ym, and extracurricular activities. The auditorium is used in conducting events and seminars, which makes the campus life active. The college also boasts of a health centre that can provide first aid if any student gets knocked out during an incident. The courses offered at the Vikas Teacher’s Training College include two integrated courses , which take four years each. For nearly one and a half years, these two programmes have been the BA and B.Ed Integrated course and the B.Sc and B.Ed Integrated course. Both courses have an approved admission capacity of one hundred seats each, and the total number of seats in both courses is two hundred.
