Vignan College of Education, Hyderabad, set up in 2004 as an affiliated college and is situated in Nizampet, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, Telangana. The institute is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers only teacher education programmes. Located on a campus measuring just one acre, the college is at the moment enroling 89 students and 17 instructors. The college offer only one programme, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with 100 approved intake seats so, it’s a special college for those who want to become a teacher. Many facilities are available in several forms at Vignan College of Education meeting its ideological role as an educational institution. From the same point, it is evident that the library plays an important role as it is offering educational and literature materials to the students. As for general practical training the college provides departmental labs where student can perform practicals. The programmes of learning offered by Vignan College of Education are limited only to the two years full time, B.Ed programme that aims at preparing students to become effective teachers. With the approved strength of intake 100, the college’s intention is to come out quality educators, who can strive to bring change in the education field. Selection criterion is merit-based based on marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test.
