Vidyasagar Teachers Training Institute is a B.Ed college in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal and is an institute only for teacher training. Ed, Intake 100 is meant for those candidates who wish to teach at Secondary & Higher Secondary level. One of the new courses that admit 50 students is the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) The course is designed to produce teachers to handle classes at the primary and upper primary levels. Both are taking two years; the course mainly confining with permutations of pedagogical expertise and his or her educational paradigms. It has total enrolment of 150 students in these two programmes which shows that the institute specifically targets at training teachers.
