Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, was established in the year 1985 and is a constituent college of Tamil Nadu, India. This institute occupies a massive land area of 500.18 acres and aims at promoting knowledge in veterinary and animal sciences. Having a strength of 468 students, the college provides a diversified learning atmosphere and is staffed with 122 faculty members. The institute provides two specialised degree programmes: a five-year programme leading to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and two-year Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc).
