Usha Latchumanan College of Education was established in the year 1999 and is one of the most leading educational institutions in Puducherry. This is a co-educational institute under the Pontifix of Pondicherry University which aims at preparing future educators. Located on a total campus area of 2.42 acres, the college enjoys NCTE recognition which speaks a lot about the quality teacher education this college intends to provide. The new programmes include a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme and a three-year Bachelor of Vocational Education in Agriculture . The B.Ed programme, under which the whole framework of the college is built, has an approved annual student capacity of one hundred. There are 79 total students admitted across all the courses offered within the institution, however this varies from year to year, as well course demand.
