The University Maharaja College, Jaipur, set up in the year 1844, is one of the premier autonomous colleges in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Over the years, it has turned over 175 years as an educational institution that has been lighting the region by offering education to all respective calibres. Located on Ram Singh Road, it provides a wide choice of undergraduate courses in science and computer applications. Itscampus has a present faculty of 102 well-qualified teaching faculty members in order to provide good education to students and give special care to them. University Maharaja College is a well-established name since the early 2000s for its quality education services to students and the overall value of eight courses offered through three degree programmes. University Maharaja College has well-equipped facilities that may complement the college’s student learning activities and academic achievement. It has the features of a study with a seating capacity of 80 students. Science learners are provided with well-equipped laboratories in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and other faculties with sophisticated instruments for practicals and experiments. The college also has a computer laboratory for its BCA programme and other IT courses. Another way through which the college shows its care for the student is through the health centre, which provides facilities for first aid. On-site, a cafeteria feeds the students and employees of the institution, whereas an assembly/Riding arena can accommodate events such as seminars. It also has a well-developed association with the alumni of the professional institution, thus keeping its learners connected to society and the job market. University Maharaja College lists a total of eight undergraduate programmes , and all are on a full-time basis. Some of the courses that are taught at this university are B.Sc. programmes with specialisations such as Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Zoology – all with honours B.Sc. Bio Group and B.Sc. Maths Group. Further, the self-financing scheme of the college also has the Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) programme. The B.Sc Bio group and the B.Sc Maths Group intake have been approved for a total of 360 seats each Intake, and for BCA Self Finance, there are 120 seats available. A myriad of these courses is crucial to accommodate students with different degrees of concern in the sciences industry. Maharaja College of the University has excellent hostels known as Karvalli for boys and Lalgulli for girls, with a capacity of 220 boys and 220 girls. The hostels offered contain single and double bedrooms, all of which contain necessary amenities to make the stay of the guests as pleasant as possible. This way, the presence of wardens and their houses near the hostel landmark fosters a safe environment that accommodates students with family-like amenities.
