Ultra College of Pharmacy at Madurai was started in 1981; it is one of the leading institutions providing facilities for education in the field of pharmacy in the state of Tamil Nadu and in India. Described as a co-educational institution, the College is situated at 4/235 College Road, Thasildar Nagar, Madurai-625020. The college sits on 20.61 acres of land. Ultra College of Pharmacy is affiliated with a PCI-approved college and offers a wide variety of pharmaceutical courses. The college has a population of 515 students and 29 faculties, which create the proper ambience required for students who want to study pharmacy for their whole career. Ultra College of Pharmacy has made available a number of facilities that are up to date and are suited to improve the learning environment within the college. The D.Pharma course also has a total of 120 seating capacity for students, while B.Pharma has only 100 seats for student intake. At the postgraduate level the college offers M.Pharma specialisations in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and Pharmacy Practice. For those who want to enhance the pharmaceutical research studies, there is an offer for Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics , pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical biotechnology.
