Udaya College of Education, Kanyakumari, was started in the year 2008 and it is an affiliated college offering education in teacher education. The college offers only one specialised course, which means that efforts and resources can be directed to training teachers effectively. The total student enrolment is equivalent to the intake capacity of the college, thus having a consistent population for two years of the programmes. Admission to Udaya College of Education, an affiliated college of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai , is as per rules and regulations framed by the state government, UT administration, and the university with which the college is affiliated. Qualifications for admission include marks obtained in the qualifying or entrance examination. The college may also conduct other screening methods according to the regulations of the sponsoring institutions.
