The TM Jacob Memorial Government College of today was set up in 1981 at Manimalakunnu, Ernakulam, Kerala. This affiliated college recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) provides a wide scope of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The college has an empanelled faculty of 38 committed teachers currently educating 588 students of which 489 are undergraduate and 99 are post graduate students. There is fairly equal distribution of male and female students in the learning institution with female student enrolment standing at 62% for under graduate programmes and 87% for post graduate courses. GA approval for all these courses differs with B.Com having the largest capacity for intake at fifty students while BA Economics has a capacity of forty students. Other courses like BA English , BA Malayalam and B.Sc Physics have 24, 24 and 20 seats respectively. At post graduate level, MA Economics has a intake capacity of only 20 and M.Com has an intake capacity of just 15.
