Oxford College of Physiotherapy was started in the year 1996 and situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. This affiliated college focuses on physiotherapy education and provides students all kinds of programmes, starting from undergraduate level to post-doctoral level education. The college is affiliated with RGUHS . The University is located on a small plot of 1.12 acres, and it admits a total number of 269 students in both 1st & 2nd year classes at present, while 13 talented members of Faculties are assisting them wholeheartedly. The college offers seven programmes in three levels of study and offers specialised training in areas of physiology such as neurological sciences, paediatrics, sports sciences and musculoskeletal sciences. The Oxford College of Physiotherapy continues to deliver students with a balanced learning experience. The institute has a well-stocked library to provide a sufficient number of reference materials and journals to gather specific knowledge in their specific field. For training, the college has well-equipped laboratories and an English Language Lab with Wordsworth Software for training students. Clinical facilities are also offered through affiliations it has with some of the best hospitals in Bangalore, and the institute enables students to develop appropriate skills and become master professionals. To meet the needs of the physiotherapy profession, the college provides numerous programmes or courses in physiotherapy. These include the standard four-year programme Bachelor of physical Therapy ( BPT ), Master of physical Therapy ( MPT ) in various specialities; and a doctoral programme Ph.D. in physical therapy. All courses are full-time, but students attain concentration and extensive learning experience throughout the day. The MPT programmes, which take two years to complete, include Neurological Sciences, Paediatrics Physiotherapy , Community Health Sciences , Sports Sciences and Musculoskeletal Sciences. The Ph.D. programme takes six years and is designed for students who want to make further research contributions in the subject. Consequently, the Oxford College of Physiotherapy uses the admission process to ensure that it hires sincere and talented students who have enthusiasm for physiotherapy.
