Thandra Paparaya Institute of Science and Technology, Vizianagaram, was established in the year 2001. This affiliated college has a sprawling campus of 10.99 acres at Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. Since its establishment, it has grown with the noble vision to uplift the young generation in the field of Engineering and Technology. The institute offers various B. Tech programmes to its 151 students who pursue their aspiring Engineering courses. Having a faculty strength of 58 dedicated professionals, TPIST still assures this quality in terms of student-faculty ratio and purports personalised attention and quality education. Its commitment to technical education is reflected in various specialised courses in Engineering that the institute has been running to meet the ever-changing demands of industry, totalling five in number. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada. TPIST boasts of delivering an overall environment to its students for learning. These include state-of-the-art, authentic amenities that help provide for most of the academic and extracurricular needs. It is an academic fraternity offering programmes related to Engineering. The institute is presently offering five full-time B.Tech programmes of four years duration each. Some of the courses offered by TPIST include B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering , and Computer Science and Engineering . The specialisation-oriented approach in education ensures that each student receives personal attention and is directed towards flourishing in their selected engineering disciplines. The admission process of TPIST is fair and transparent, which selects the most deserving candidates for its different engineering programmes. Candidates seeking admission to any programme related to B.Tech at TPIST will be required to appear for the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test AP EAMCET. The AP EAMCET is the first state entrance test held in Andhra Pradesh to take up engineering. It is a test that determines the basic subjects for the entry of such students to make sure that the students enrolled have a good base to start with.
