This is a co-educational college offering specialised programmes in teacher training and is located in the heart of Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The institute sprawls over 3 acres of land in a compact campus and is an affiliated college approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. SRSV College of Education runs a compact curriculum with two regular courses specially designed for the aspiring teacher fraternity. The Bachelor of Education course is a two-year programme with an approved intake of 100 seats, while the Diploma in Education is a two-year course with 50 seats. These programmes have the aim of offering complete training in educational theory and practice so that students are prepared and proceed to have very successful teaching careers. The total student intake of the college stands at 99, a capacity that enables optimum learning by ensuring that classes never get too large to allow for one-to-one attention. The admission to the B.Ed course shall be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college shall also consider any other selection process as per the policies prescribed by the state government of Andhra Pradesh and the affiliated university. In the D.Ed. course, also, admission will be made entirely on the basis of merit, which shall be determined with reference to the candidate's performance at the qualifying examination and/or entrance test conducted by the concerned university or institutions/authorities in accordance with the policy prescribed by the state government or UT administration.
