Sri Venkateswara College of Education for Women, established in the year 2007 in Karaikal, is one of the emergent and leading educational institutions in the union territory of Puducherry. Sri Venkateswara College of Education is in the business of offering teacher education as its principal academic offering. The college only has one programme of study, a four-year programme leading to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This two-year full-time course has an approved intake of one hundred, which also supports the institutions vision of preparing quality teachers. The B.Ed. programme has been prepared in a way that would endow the students with the ability and practical knowledge which could facilitate them in teaching profession.
