Sri Mallikarjuna Polytechnic is a technical institute situated at Chitradurga, Karnataka; the aim of the college is to impart quality technical education. This affiliated college was established in the year 2008 and the college has been educating the young generations for more than a decade. It is also accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education making it clear that the institute follows education standards in the technical field across the country. Located on NH-13 in Pillekerenahalli, the polytechnic provides a suitable learning and growth atmosphere. At present, the institutes has a faculty of 17 quality conscious and dedicated professionals with mission to serve as a beacon light for the budding technicians / engineers of the country. It has a few facilities aimed at improving learning environment of the students in the polytechnic. A good library is well equipped with educational resources that would enable students avail any type of literature they need. It also accommodates departmental laboratories for students to make practical experiences and get skills in the area they wish to be specialized in. Fully aware of the place of technology in today’s world, Sri Mallikarjuna Polytechnic has developed and/or provided the very best of IT systems to meet the students’ needs in the new world order. Sri Mallikarjuna Polytechnic was aimed at offering selected diploma courses that are crucial in the majority of technical industries. At the moment the institute offers three full time diploma courses with a period of three years each. These are Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering , Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering . Collectively, the capacity for all the courses the institute offers is 110 whereas the available seat for Electrical and Electronics Engineering is 60, Computer Science and Engineering is 30, Electronics and Communication Engineering is 20.
