Sree Siddaganga College of Education is located at Tumakuru and was started in 1972, having a reputation in providing teacher education. Sited at Tumakuru, Karnataka – this is an affiliated college recognized by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and certified by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located in a very small plot area of 1 acre the college has two programmes in education with a combined enrolment of 94 students. The college ha laboratory facilities to suit the different disciplines they offer, including the computer lab, a science lab, and a psychology lab. For extracurricular activities, the students of this campus can enjoy a big playground for volleyball, athletics and other extra activities. Some new sources of recreation include carrom and chess indoor games which are also provided in order to maintain proper balance of the students’ activities. Sree Siddaganga College of Education offers two full-time courses: Bachelors in Education(Bachelor of Education – B.Ed) and Diploma course in Education (Diploma in Elementary Education–D.El.Ed). The fact that these two schemes are the primary focus of the college makes it possible to provide specific attention to trainer development to equip the graduates with the requisite needs in handling education challenges.
