SMG Vishnu College of Nursing was set up in the year 2012 and is one of the reputed nursing colleges in Kolar, Karnataka. The nursing college, located in a 2.2 acre building, is recognised by the INC, which makes it provide quality educational programmes for nursing. Currently on campus, there is a cafeteria whereby students and staff can sit down and take tea. For those who want to be accommodated, the college has the provisions of both boys’ and girls’ hostels, which are well furnished. Furthermore, provision of a transport facility is provided by the institution for students and staff to help solve the issue of transport. SMG Vishnu College of Nursing affords two full-time courses in the field of nursing education. The B.Sc Nursing is one of the flagship programmes in the institute, and it has an approved annual student intake of 40 students. This course takes four years and offers a wide training ground for students in almost every area of the nursing profession in the market. The college also provides ageneral nursing and midwifery three-year course, although the college intake of this programme is unknown. Both courses are designed to be completed in one academic year, allowing for the students to get the best experience possible.
