SJM Dental College and Hospital, Chitradurga, set up in 1986, is one of the well-known dental education centres in Karnataka, India. This is a coeducational college affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has been in the education sector, especially in dentistry and health services. Recognised by NAAC and approved by DCI, SJMDCH continues to provide and has a vast area of 5 acres to deliver excellent educational experience in the field of dentistry. The curriculum offered by SJM Dental College and Hospital is divided into two specialised dental courses. The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programme is a direct entry five-year full-time programme offered to 60 students. For those interested in postgraduate specialisation, the college offers admission to the two-seat Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) course in Conservative Dentistry , which is a ithree-yearrs full-time programme. These two courses aim to give the students ample knowledge and skills needed in dentistry.
