Sir Vithaldas Thackersey College of Home Science, Santacruz, was established in 1959 and is one of the Autonomous colleges situated at the hub of Mumbai, Maharashtra. It has NAAC accreditation and offers a highly wide spread of courses in home science and related disciplines. The institute is spread over 21 acres of campuses with a total enrolment of 847 students, all girls. The college runs 17 courses under its 5 degree programmes and has a faculty strength of 28. Specialisations include Developmental Counselling, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Early Childhood Care and Education. Faculties abound to add their own share to creating a more comprehensive learning experience for its students. Diploma in Fashion Design as well as executive M. Des in Fashion Design is also offered by the college.
