Teaching Hospital and Research Centre (SIMS Hyderabad) is one of the largest and renowned medical college situated in Hyderabad in the state of Telangana. This is affiliated college was established in 2005, it has been offering quality medical education for over one and half decades. SIMS Hyderabad is spread over a large 26 acre area and is affiliated to the National Medical Commission (NMC) and provides various disciplines of medical education. IUST has a total student capacity of 190 and has the faculty backup of 164 members. SIMS Hyderabad has seventy-seven undergraduate and postgraduate programmes presented across 3 degrees; 17 courses are offered in various medical fields. SIMS wants to ensure that the students get the best environment for learning. SIMS Hyderabad provides number of amenities to enhance academic and personal development. The campus also has different Hostel facilities for Boys and Girls to facilitate comfortable stay for students coming out of station. A knowledge centre is an efficient library and modern learning experience is facilitated by a quality IT system. It also accommodates a health centre with First aid of the faculty, sports facilities, and a cafeteria for foods and drinks. Also, SIMS Hyderabad has transport facilities where and when offered through the university make it easier for the students and =staff members to commute. In total, there are as many as 17 medical programmes in SIMS Hyderabad that includes each level of courses, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. The flagship programme is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery ( MBBS ),for which the college has been granted a permission to admit a total of 150 students. At post graduate level the institute presents various disciplines for specialisation in M.D and M.S levels in specialisation such as Anaesthesiology, General Medicine , Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology etc. None of the courses offered are part-time, this makes the courses to have an intensive, and focused training on medical disciplines. Admission to SIMS Hyderabad is done based on merit and there are set procedure regarding the admission. In the case of the MBBS programme , the ICOM fir admissions through the ranking of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test under graduate (NEET UG) . Likewise, for postgraduate courses (MD & MS) intake is based on the score achieved in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG).
