Shri Sangameshwar Arts and Commerce College, Vijayapura, was set up in 1973 in the town of Chadchan in the district of Karnataka. It affiliated college approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) provides various arts, commerce, social work and computer applications. Situated on a vast area of 18 acres, the college has a total admission facility of 850 and a faculty of 30 members. Being an institution geared towards delivering quality education, the institution offers 7 degree programmes, which include undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across the various fields of study, for students who have different callings in life. Shri Sangameshwar Arts and Commerce College also has a variety of facilities that are relevant in today’s education to ensure that appropriate learning of students is performed. Among the undergraduate programmes are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) , Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Social Work and Counselling (BSW) . At the postgraduate level, the college offers Master of Commerce (M.Com and Master of Social Work (MSW). These courses are intended to equip all learners with academic knowledge and skills pertinent to their disciplines. The college also admits 850 students in total from which it also demonstrates its commitment towards keeping a balance between the number of students to the number of faculty, so as to opt for the best way of practical learning. The process of admission to Shri Sangameshwar Arts and Commerce College also follows the same policy of admission fairness. Most of the undergraduate courses emphasised regular 10+2. Even for the regular 10 + 2 examination, the candidates are admitted. The postgraduate programmes of M.Com and MSW are selected as per the university norms for postgraduate programmes.
