Shreemati Meenakshiben Shantibhai Dave College of Education, started functioning in the year of 2008, and within a short period, grew into one of the best premier teacher training institutes in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The college is co-educational, affiliated with Saurashtra University, and provides education to future teachers. Accredited by NAAC and approved by NCTE, the college keeps all stringent things to the code in offering a course to educate teachers. The 1-acre campus enrolled 273 students with an intake capacity of 100 and has a dedicated faculty number of 13 educators. There are a number of facilities that the institution has for the enrichment of the learning process and for the all-round development of students. One among them is the well-equipped library, which acts as a 'knowledge hub' for this institution. It houses a vast array of books, journals, and e-resources related to education and allied subjects. At present, Shri Meenakshiben Shantibhai Dave College of Education offers only one full-time course: the Bachelor of Education, or, for short, B.Ed. It is a two-year programme, and it believes in keeping quality education with classes of manageable standard.
