Located in Golpura village, Barwala Tehsil, District Panchkula, Shree Satguru Dev College of Education, Panchkula, was started in the year 2006 to cater to the much-needed resource of teachers in the state of Haryana, India. This affiliated college has been duly recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. The institute offers a range of education-oriented courses such as B.Ed , M.Ed, D.El.Ed, and D.Ed. With 16 faculty members, the college works to develop the prospective teachers who will take upon themselves the onus of shaping the young minds effectively. The institution has several facilities that help students in the process of learning. Library—the hub of learning and research for students—is fully stocked with more than 10,000 books, 15 print journals, and 4 online journals. The whole campus is fitted with modern IT infrastructure and Wi-Fi connectivity to provide students with access to digital learning aids. There is a health centre with first-aid facilities for the well-being of the students. Sports facilities and a canteen, along with an auditorium, form part of the campus. Seminars and workshops are regularly conducted on various topics related to faculty and student development. Also available is a transport facility for commuting students and staff, whereby the campus is easily accessible. It also maintains a guest house for visiting faculty and student family members, exemplifying the hospitality possessed by the institution. Shree Satguru Dev College of Education is running a total of four full-time courses oriented toward teacher education. These courses have a different approach toward the system, starting from the elementary to higher education level. All the courses together have an approved intake of 250 students, thus showing the potential of the college to groom a good number of future teachers every year.
