Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya, Kolhapur set up in 1990 is an affiliated college for the stream of physical education. It is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and is situated at Wadipeer, Kolhapur, Maharashtra and the total area of campus is an extent of 3 acres. The college is duly recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to uphold standard education in physical education. At the college level, the institutional class strength is fifty students and the faculty strength of five, hence, the college provides a conducive atmosphere for training physical education professionals. Sharirik Shikshan Mahavidyalaya is well endowed with a variety of tools that appropriately suit the college in fulfilling the requirements of the physical education programme. Sports freaks have a treasure trove that would range from a 200-meter athletic track, gymnastic bar and apparatus for judo, wrestling, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho lawn tennis, handball, table tennis and softball.
