Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Ujire, commonly known as SDMCNYS Ujire, is one of the most prominent institutions for the education of naturopathy and yogic sciences. This affiliated college was started in the year 1989, located at Ujire, Karnataka, and spread over 7 acres of land. The SDMCNYS Ujire caters for an education module for only 634 students and a staff of 30, with a concentration on different fields of medicine. For the operational learning, the institution has departmental laboratories, including of modern Yoga & Naturopathy teaching hospital with a capacity of 550 beds, for exposing students to their line of speciality. Again, the college is academically inclined towards its largest programme, the Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) and MD and Ph.D. This is an IP full-time course spread over six years, which makes the student familiar with the principles of naturopathy and the yogic system. Arising from the above facts, although there is no manner in which specific intake numbers are observed, it can be argued that with total student enrollment being at a figure of 63,4, there is a massive base for such a specialised programme in this college.
