Sanctorum College of Education, Baramulla, was founded in 2006 and is a coeducational college situated in Lalad Sopore in the province of Jammu and Kashmir of India. This affiliated college is NAAC accredited meaning quality education will be provided to the students. The college is located on 1.25 acres of campus land and provides two focused programmes in education for 68 students’ intake in total and has 15 faculty members. The institute caters especially to the fields of education as shown in its bachelor of education and masters of education programs. These include institutional, academic, co curricular, support and administrative facilities which are available in the college. Well designed library is used as a knowledge center and each department is used having practical laboratory facilities. The institution understands the need to have both sporting structures as well as a gym that students can use to exercise. Learners can use the dining hall for cultural and academic events while an auditorium has been made available for use. It also offers student’s welfare through the college health centre which offers first aid services. In specifically, it has accommodation facilities in the form of hostels for male and female students in particular because for those who come from various regions they provide convenient accommodation facilities. Sanctorum College of Education offers two full-time courses : There is a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Master of Education (M.Ed). The numbers of students are divided in B.ED. Programme has 100 intake capacity and M.ED Program has 40 students intake capacity. Each programme takes two years to complete with equal coverage of theories and practices in education. The total student enrolment at the college is 68 and this is the same as the college’s intake capacity thus the college has an individualised enrolment system. For the B.Ed course there is merit only percentage obtained in the previous qualification is considered for admission.
