Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology (SUIIT), which was founded in the year 2010 and is a Constituent College in Burla, Odisha . SUIIT stands in a vast 496-acre campus and has grown into one of the leading institutions in technical education. The institute is comprised of a total of seventeen courses in five degree programmes, with a total student enrolment of five hundred twenty-one. The faculty of SUIIT focuses on 29 members, which, in combination with a favourable student-to-teacher ratio, guarantees a high quality of learning. The institute has a separate facility of hostels for boys and girls so that out-station students find comfortable accommodation. There are also a number of sport amenities, including play fields and a gymnasium, to support the physical aspect of students’ development The facility has an auditorium that is used for cultural as well as academic activities. A functioning health centre that includes means of first aid guarantees that students are able to get medical attention when they fall ill. The courses available at the institute are a wide-ranging set of B.Tech programmes such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. At post graduate level, SUIIT offers M.Tech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Communication System Engineering and Embedded System and Design. It also provides the MCA and M.Sc. programmes in Computer Science and Electronics. Also, post-graduation programmes have also been added in the streams of SUIIT and it has started new specialised B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Cyber Security; thus, the university holds its position in the technological innovation. OJEE is the major mode of admission in SUIIT, although it does offer a few other ways to admit its students. For all B.Tech programmes, admission is available to the candidates who clear the OJEE only. As mentioned above, the institute provides a write test for postgraduate programs in which the weightage of the career assessment test is 30% while the weightage of the written test is 70%. According to this voluminous assessment, the worthy and most qualified candidates are selected to join the programmes. The seat matrix for MCA programme is 50 percent through OJEE ranks and the remaining 50 percent admission through institute-level test.
