Shri Andal Alagar College of Engineering situated at Mamandur (SAACE Mamandur) has been emerging as a prestigious institution and been devoted to carve the future of engineering education from 2001 onwards. Located in the Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu is this affiliated college expansively spread over 75 beautiful acres of land. Enrolment bliss coupled with the socio technological index yields seven engineering courses offered in SAACE Mamandur under the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes. The college has claimed privilege of having rich and strong student strength which has 390 enrolments for various programmes it offers across different domains and disciplines and a faculty of 151 members The ratio of student to faculty is 2.6:1 that indicates enough attention is given to each student which is very important especially in a college level education. The campus of SAACE Mamandur is equipped with modern installations which are intended to enrich school’s activity and students’ experience. The college library is a huge one, occupying a floor space of 9000 square feet,and the readers have access to approximately 60000 volumes of books, which deal with a vast range of topics in engineering, scientific and technical subjects as well as management sciences. For practical experiments, the institution boasts fully fitted laboratories and workshops, located in their respective block. The physical facilities that deserve some commendation includes: It infrastructure; multiple computer labs with appropriate software and hardware to enable the students to update with modern technology is commendable. Shri Andal Alagar College of Engineering also focuses its attention to the health needs of the learners, and in this respect the college has provided the learners with sporting amenities, and a good indoor court for gym. This is an Affiliated College of Anna University, Chennai. The programmes offered at SAACE Mamandur are all engineering ones, and all are full time courses. The college offers 7 BE/B.Tech programmes in engineering , ;- Electronics and communication engineering , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer science and Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Civil engineering and a B.Tech in Information Technology. Also, the institution has diversified and innovative programmes with an advanced B.Tech programme in Biotechnology. The total approved intake for all the courses combined is 336 seats and so there are definitely enough prospects for all the young engineers out there who want to make this dream come true.
