About 300 students are admitted to this college besides having a total of twenty-two faculty members, and this makes it easy for the college to provide each student with personal attention as well as quality education. The college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and affiliated with Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), Chennai. Sivaganga Preethi B.Ed. College includes a range of general amenities of a contemporary nature intended to facilitate learning. Facilities: students can access a modern, equipped library; students nurture a research and self-study ideology. The facility includes modern laboratory facilities, which make for practical learning. There are outstanding sporting amenities as a means of students’ extracurricular activities, as well as a hall for cultural shows, seminars, etc. The college also extends care for student health with a health centre that operates as a first aid facility. Our colleague, Ege S. Preethi B.Ed. College provides complete solutions for all levels of teacher education needs. The institution provides three full-time courses : B.El.ED/B.Ed, M.Ed. and Diploma in Elementary Education /D.El.ED. S. Preethi B.Ed. College has the traditional policy of merit-based admissions, which shows that the college places much emphasis on academics. With regards to the B.Ed programme, the admission is as per the marks in the qualifying exam and entrance test as per the GO/UT administration norms, policy and procedures of the university. Admissions to the M.Ed. programme are also merit-based in the qualifying examination, entrance examination or any other mode as prescribed by the government and the university. The D.ElProgrammee also offers merit-based admission criteria based on the marks of the qualifying examination and or entrance test as per the rules of the state government/UT administration.
