RS College of Education, kathua was laid in the year 2007 and since then it has been serving as a light of education in Jammu and Kashmir. Situated in beautiful town of Kathua, this affiliated college is nurturing future of educators for more than a decade. The institute’s campus is physically small measuring 1.2 acres and serves a small number of 136 students. The college boasts a low student teach ratio with an average of 15 hardworking faculty preparing the next generation educators. RS College of Education is the institution is majorly centred on imparting quality education through the B.Ed programme. This is a full course which takes two years to complete and the programme is designed to equip student for the teaching profession. The total intake of the college is 136 students making the college to offer personal and quality education to all the students enrolled in the college. Though, explicit information regarding the specialisations and fees are not possible to obtain but the college is committed to delivering trained educators from its integrated curriculum and pedagogy. RS College of Education has also developed admission process which would enrol the most qualified students to its B.Ed programme. Selection of students into the programme is based on merit that includes marks in the qualifying examination and or entrance test. The functional facilities of these hostels are consisting of well-ventilated rooms with attached bathroom, a fully equipped functional kitchen with provision of LPG and clean water, kitchen cum dining hall and Recreation cum leisure Hall having provision of Television and indoor games. The college also provides free transport to the students and the staff to facilitate their transport means in getting to the college.
