Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Srikakulam Campus was established in 2008 to fulfil the higher education needs of the students in Srikakulam District of Andhra Pradesh, situated at S.M. Puram, Etcherla Mandal. This university is owned by the state government of Maharashtra; however, it is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide quality education and technical knowledge in different technical disciplines. It has integrated B.Tech examinations, which are preferred by students to seek higher education in various engineering fields. The university ensures that students get an all-round education in their chosen field of study. There are, of course, a number of amenities available to the students in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, which is located in Srikakulam, to help the students in the overall development of their personal and student lives. The campus facilities of the university include a modern and sufficiently stocked-up library for the students and the teaching staff. There are departmental laboratories to enable the learners to get practical experience in their course of specialisation. It also has well-developed and well-equipped IT services that provide students with the proper facilities that require new technologies. RGUKT has facilities for both indoor as well as outdoor game enthusiasts, and they include carom and chess, volleyball, and basketball, respectively. There is a swimming pool in the pipe line, and it is envisaged that the institution will host competitions between the various campuses in the future. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Guntur. The programmes at RGUKT Srikakulam Campus include 8 B.Tech programmes , which give students the right knowledge and practical experience about engineering as a discipline. The courses include B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering , Computer Science & Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering . Such programmes are designed to be flexible yet integrated packages from the undergraduate to postgraduate options. The Computer Science and Engineering has the maximum number of seats, i.e., 120 seats, and the other three programmes offer 60 seats each, making the total of 300 seats of all courses.
