The Regional Institute of Science and Technology, RIST started in 2009 as a pioneer technical institute in Meghalaya. This private affiliated college is located in the beautiful town of Jorabat and the college occupies 130 acres of land acres. The university currently has number of engineering programmes though it has an emphasis on the following five B.Tech degrees. The institute has a recruited faculty of 40 dedicated teachers, which helps the students of the institute get the best education. All the courses are generic with the theoretical content to accompany them, although extensive emphasis is placed on the practical implications of the coursework.
