Purushottam School of Engineering and Technology better known as PSET was set up in the year 2008 and it is one of the renowned institute in Rourkela Odisha. This affiliated college under AICTE for the past one decade has been successfully training young engineers of the nation. The environmental asset of the college itself offers a favorable learning environment since the college occupies a five acre plot of land. At the present, the members of the institute’s faculty are 25, all of which are highly dedicated to the development of the next generation technical personnel. Purushottam School of Engineering and Technology boasts of having quality infrastructures that bitter the learning environment for the students. There is a fully functional computerised library in the college which is sized 200 square meters For computer laboratory, there are 60 sets of new DELL Core 2 DUO and 30 sets of Celeron computers all over the college LAN. The library at the institute is central to the academic library and it offers students a great variety of resources to peruse. In compliance with this factor PSET avails the general hostels for boys and girl independently in order to adequately accommodate the scholars during their learning process. There is also provisions of a cafeteria, students’ facilities for sporting activities and an assembly hall for students’ games and other co-curricular activities and functions. For the purpose of addressing the overall needs of its students, the college provides and operates a health center with first aid amenities. Furthermore, PSET ensures students and staff are offered transport means, hence an easy means of transportation. Based on course specialisation PSET boasts of a complete package in the offering of diploma programmes in engineering . At the moment the said institute offers six full time diploma courses and all of them take three years to complete. These programmes include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering , Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering . Thus, there are 315 places per year for all the courses taken together, which allows PSET to become a school of engineers for every personality type.
