Poompuhar College Melaiyur was started in 1964 and is a Private, Self-Financed College affiliated to Bharathidasan University Tiruchirappalli. Started in 2015 at the Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu state of India, the college offers a number of courses recently in the faculties of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Science, Commerce, Computer Application & IT & Education. Eligible for a C.A.C accreditation, Poompuhar College is situated on a 22 acres of land and has a total student enrollment of 2432 and a teaching faculty of 92. The institution offers fifty two courses cutting across 10 programs: the BA, B.Sc, B.Com, MA M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D programs.
