Pine Grove College of Education was established in 2007 and is a co-educational college in Bassi Pathana District of Punjab. This affiliated college is authorised by the National Council for Teacher Education and erinks to the educationist of tomorrow. Located on a 5.25 acre plot, the college is suited for its 412 students enroled in the college, and provides for a more specialised learning environment. Pine Grove College of Education currently offers two full-time courses : There are two two years programmes offered which include a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Master of Arts in Education (MA Education) . The core programme in the B.Ed has an accreditation for enrolment of 200 students which indicates the capacity of the given college to train a large number of teaching – learning fraternity in the near future. Ed course have to appear for Joint Entrance Test conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala. This test is conducted to grant admission to B.Ed colleges all over Punjab and aims at providing a common test to measure the ability of the candidates in the teaching sector. In contrast, the admission to the MA Education programme requires the applicant to have met merit requirements as deemed from their previous qualifying examinations performance.
