Dr YSR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) was established in 1986. The University is founded by Dr Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, a former CM of Andhra Pradesh and the inaugural chancellor of the university. Dr YSR University of Health Sciences courses are MBBS, BDS, BPT , BSc, BNurs , MDS, PGD , MD, M.Sc and MPT . Total fees of NTRUHS for BPT is Rs 72,000, MPT is Rs 1.88 Lakhs and MPT is Rs 1.88 Lakhs. Dr NTR University of Health Sciences Admissions are based on performance in the entrance exam. NEET-UG, NEET-PG and NEET-MDS scores are NTRUHS entrance exams accepted for admissions . The library, sports, and laboratories are some of the facilities of NTRUHS . NTR University of Health Sciences was renamed as Dr YSR University of Health Sciences in 2022 to commemorate Dr Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy, another ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
