The National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD), originally formally established in 1962 is a renowned autonomous organization with its campus in New Delhi. Located in Naredi Delhi within the Narela Institutional Area of Delhi, this Institute occupies area of 15 acres for its campus exclusively meant for serious academic exercises and research. The field of labour economics and human resource development has found NILERD providing specialised education to those who want to be a professional. The National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development provides students with state of the art facilities to improve on their learning process at NILERD. The institute too has provisions of hostel facilities for students of both sexes for those who come from other regions. The welfare of sports lovers is also taken care of by a standard gymnasium, which has all the gym facilities within the school compound. In this industry, sports fanatics can benefit from the variety of sports facilities as the company fosters reasonable practicing and working balance. The academic auditorium is used to host all institute related academic events, seminars as well as cultural events. NILERD also boasts of health facility for students which is a first aid health center. . By design, NILERD is more of an academic institution, offering highly specific programmes, although the institute currently only offers one programme – the Master of Human Resource Planning and Development . This is a full—and and one-year programme, which aims to provide the students with enhanced awareness of the field of Human Resource Management and Labour Economics. NILERD’s admission process is structured in a manner that it takes only people who can potentially be very useful in their specialised field.
