National Centre for Radio Astrophysics Pune was established in 1960. The college was established to provide education in the branches of Astronomy and Radiology. NCRA Pune admissions are provided based on the Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) entrance test conducted by TIFR-Mumbai . Both methods comprise a written test and two interviews. NCRA Pune also provides many facilities for its students. NCRA Pune facilities include a Radio Physics Laboratory (RPL), a library, an auditorium and many more. The RPL organises various training programmes for students.
