Nand Kishore College of Pharmacy, Allahabad

Nand Kishore College of Pharmacy, Allahabad, was established in 2019. It is a nascent institution with the prime objective of imparting quality pharmaceutical education. Being an affiliated college, it is located in Naini, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, and functions under the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The campus sprawls over 5 acres and provides a bright, focused approach toward pharmacy education through the D.Pharma course. Numerous facilities are available at the college to enrich the learning experience for Nand Kishore College of Pharmacy students. There is a well-stocked library with an open access system that allows students to freely access books, journals, and periodicals so as to develop a culture of independent research and learning. Its IT infrastructure is one of the prominent features of the institution, which has a campus-wide local area network linked with high-speed internet through VSAT to globally connect information resources for the students. The state-of-the-art computer centre with its software and availability until 5:00 PM keeps the students abreast of the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry. The laboratories are well equipped to provide hands-on experience, an essential requirement of pharmacy education complying with PCI and AICTE norms. Keeping in view the very pertinent concerns relating to physical health paralleling the academic growth, the college has outdoor sports facilities for cricket, kabaddi, basketball, and badminton; volleyball; and indoor games facilities such as carom, chess, and table tennis. These facilities are an excellent addendum to what would be considered an all-round education—an education that works on the insides and the outsides of the young minds entrusted with it. Though young, Nand Kishore College of Pharmacy stands forward with a far-reaching vision to leave its indelible mark in the field of pharmaceutical education. Without the history of other institutions or the varied streams of courses they may have, this focused approach, adopted here along with modern facilities and high-quality teaching in pharmacy, provides a bedrock upon which a student can build his entry into this very important field. Nand Kishore College of Pharmacy is currently offering one major course: the Diploma in Pharmacy . The programme is designed as a two-year, full-time study course with an approved intake capacity of 60 students. The design for the compact curriculum is such that it lays a strong basic foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, enabling the students to serve various roles in the pharmacy sector. While it may only offer one degree programme, the commitment to quality education in this specialised field is very palpable. The admission process is quite simplified and hassle-free at Nand Kishore College of Pharmacy. The campus is facilitated with a cafeteria that provides healthy and hygienic food at affordable rates. For those students who commute from the vicinity, there is a pick-up and drop-off facility available at the college itself.
