Nagrik Shikshan Sanstha's College of Education was instituted in the year 1990 at Mumbai. The college is exclusively a teaching college. This college is also accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and functions from a compact campus of 1.35 acres. Sports facilities and a gymnasium are available for the college to strive for all-round development. Besides, an auditorium is there where events and seminars take place, which gives importance to the campus life. Health centre with first aid facilities exists for the well-being of every student in the institution. Other facilities such as a canteen, a parking area, and laboratories for various subjects add to a warm and enabling learning atmosphere. In the present day, the College of Education of Nagrik Shikshan Sanstha offers only one course that is concentrated - a two-year, full-time Bachelor of Education programme. This is a two-year, full-time course oriented toward preparing students to be successful classroom teachers. The B.Ed course in the institution has 100 approved seats and provides extensive training in educational theory and practice. Though the college has thus far only offered one degree programme, a focused approach to teaching ensures good thorough quality education about the whole ambit of teacher-training. Admission to the Nagrik Shikshan Sanstha's College of Education strictly follows the norms issued by the State Government, UT Administration, and the concerned university. Admission will be strictly on merit, and marks obtained in the qualification examination and/or entrance examination will also be taken into account.
