Overview

MES Arts and Science College at CHATHAMANGALAM is one of the newest institutions in the Kozhikode district of Kerala and has been established in the year 2005. As an affiliated college located in a small 3-acre land area, this college provides 14 courses in 8 degree programmes. This is because, out of its total student enrolment of 975 and a faculty strength of 40, the institution ensures that it has a small student-to-teacher ratio. The quality of education is perhaps reflected in the various specialisations offered by the college, such as the Arts, Commerce, and Science groups. The college has state-of-the-art facilities that were created to enrich the college experience of the students. An effective reference centre is a ready reference centre for students and members of the faculty. As for students who might be interested in physical activities, the college owns sports equipment that fosters this aspect. Through good information technology, the institution is able to put into practice modern technological developments to prepare students for the future. Available for events and seminars, an auditorium greatly contributes to the atmosphere on campus. A laboratory within the departments contributes to the practical training for students, while a health centre with first aid facilities for students has. The college also offers sufficient parking space for the faculty and staff and students to park their cars as they go about their daily activities. The MES Arts and Science College presents a relatively vast array of full-time courses for the students’ choice. The institution offers 14 courses with both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These include, inter alia, Business Administration, Commerce, English Literature, Economics, History, Psychology, Computer Science, and a B.Sc. in Costume and Fashion Designing.
