Meenakshi Ramaswamy Arts and Science College, Ariyalur, was started in 2001, and it is one of the self-financed colleges affiliated with the venerable Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India. The institution is placed on a vast land of ten acres and provides 40 kinds of courses in a ten-degree programme. The college has been offering its services to a total of 890 students and numbers 88 talented faculty members among its staff. A clear signal to education is well exhibited by the institution by providing extensive courses within the disciplines such as sciences, arts, and commerce. The college has got a variety of facilities, most of which are contemporary, in order to improve the student results. The campus has one common and two different hostels for boys and girls, respectively, and both are fully furnished and accommodate 1250 boys and 960 girls. These hostels include suitable facilities such as solar water heaters, hygienic mineral water, and wardens for the students. Currently, the college has over ninety domestic and international magazines and journals in the college library that can be of immense help to students. Besides, it has a good estate, accommodation, and IT laboratories, which have seen the college perform well in district, state, national, and other intercollegiate competitions. Meenakshi Ramaswamy Arts and Science College provides the complete range of undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses. These are auto science, visual communication, biotechnology, information technology, automobiles, B.com, B.A. English , etc.; these are listed among the courses offered at the university. At postgraduate level, learners can opt to complete M.Sc. in various scientific fields, MA English and MA Tamil, or M.Com . The college also offers diploma courses in specific vocations, namely food production, fashion technology, and medical laboratory technology, among others, to enhance the different dreams of its learners.
